Why MBA HR ??
I still ponder over this Question - Why MBA HR??
This was the question that was asked to me in the interview.
Amity business school... MBA HR !!
Trust me it was like my brain is blank and I don't know what the interviewer is asking.
I answered in a pretty vague manner and I still laugh on my selection.
My answer was - " Because I like interacting with people and solving their problems".
Ohh God...! I guess it was the most stupid answer I ever gave in my life.
The interviewer banged another question - Then why not go for counseling courses. start a consultancy..??
Ufff... another tough one.. !
And my fight went on with the questions and answers.
And finally they said "Thank you. You may leave." I took a deep breath and came out.
I appeared in two interviews, one was great and this MBA HR ... was surely disgusting.
I guess for an interview one should always go prepared for such questions.
"HR is an integral part of any organization now days. (The so called dignified dustbins !! )
HR is there in the board meetings as well and HR is not only meant for making pay rolls or appraisals; HR is there in the decision making. In this current downturn HR has its role to play.
When you are into cost cutting then HRs give you the best solution...."
And then for the interview make a note of critical things that can be cross questioned.
Rest depends on your attitude and abilities ...how far can u convince someone with your views !!
But back to my question - Why MBA HR..??
Since the day I have stepped into this course I have never been at ease..never.
And initially I used to curse myself day and night. Something in finance or operation would have been the best thing for me.
I simply hate papers like HRM, PMS, and OB. Seriously theory is one thing that pisses me off anytime. I feel like sleeping during the lectures..thanks to the classrooms, I cant even close my eyes..the classes are so spacious that each and every student can be viewed easily.. someone please find a place for me to sleep in HRM and PMS classes.
But anyways after one semester I have adjusted with the situation and enjoying my stay in Amity.
But not the HR part.. ! :)
