I am an MBA student.
For the first time in my life I was part of a management Fest and that also being in the organizing.
So the first thing was getting sponsorship money... Okay I was a total failure at it.
The other day i read about The Management Fest of IIMs.
It was really surprising to see the slab. IIML fetching an amount of 96 lakhs which was more than their previous years 85 lakhs and that also in this period of recession.
It’s awesome!
All the IIMs were not having luck like IIML, but still they all managed a decent sum.
IIML
"Nam hi kafi hai... "
The festival was not only sponsored with such a whopping sum, but along with that the participation was high too. And the number of companies went up for sponsorship than the last year for IIMs.
I read that people are going for management courses in this downfall. And a corporate meet is a learning experience if you consider the time constraints. CEOs, VPs, and directors; speaking on how to manage the situation is indeed an important aspect.
I attended my meet and it was really amazing. It was really worth listening to the HRs of the CEO level, and the insight they gave.
The thing that I remember the most is – we shouldn’t retrench, we should start employing.
And this was a line in the speech of one of the CEO.
Overall I guess management fest are about sponsorships but it really tests your marketing and people skills.
Sponsorship is a tough thing to get.
