aAya hAi MuJhE fiR yAad wO ZaLiM GujRa JamaNa 1st Sem Ke eXaMs ka...!!

Exams are on head... !! The second sem exams..
[ I need a roof :) ]
In my entire school and college life I never studied after 11 at night.. Never...
But never thought that there would be days when a person like me would be studying throughout the night... unbelievable... That was 1st sem exams here in MBA.
Kahe ko yeh log exam lete hain yar...??
I was a very good student and I am still the same but ...
literally speaking I no more enjoy studies, especially the theory part.. cant mug up things and vomit it out in the exams.... So much in the syllabus and no idea what to study and what to leave!
somehow this exam system should be abolished..

( All my sympathies with those who hate exams... !!)

I am really craving to say the following things :

Bade gande lagte hain ..
ye kitaabein, ye copies, ye slides aur..
aur...question papers..!!
bade gande lagte hain....!!

socha kabhi tumne ke yeh sal me do bar kyu aata hai
aa ke hamari raato ki nind kyu udata hai..
socha kabhi tumne kya phatte kyu marte hain..
answer sheet ko bharte hain per anjaam nahi jante hain..!!

bade gande lagte hain....................

Rone ko jahaan aur bhi hain but blog me kya rona.?.
parody finished!!

As far as knowledge is concerned, honestly no knowledge gain is there..
As a manager what your common sense tells you is right in a given situation.
we dont use any of the models or theories to derive a result apart from the forecasts that we do .. then why so many subjects and exams????
When we are not going to apply these theories as the way they are, then why are we supposed to go through a cramming session??
why ?
Anyways Exams are meant to be given.. :(

IPL...

The decision taken for IPL is really disheartening.. !!
At least I could have watched one match in Delhi.
Why this election is happening at this point of time..??
I wonder...
In the population of more than 1.15 billion cant we provide security to mere 10-12 teams?
What a pathetic management this government is having... !
May be they are showing too much concern due to elections, but along with that depressing many fans those who have waited for this occasion.

And I guess its a huge loss to many sponsors, as the matches will now happen in South Africa.
I read that they have turned to IPL for these losses.
BBC reported : "Indians saddened by IPL decision

News that the second Indian Premier League cricket tournament will be staged outside India has come as a major disappointment across the cricket-mad nation."

ONE COMMENT WAS AWESOME: Finally, the decision has been made and the junior IPL (Indian Premier League) has to concede ground to the senior IPL (Indian political league).

I know there are many fans are out there who would miss IPL just like me..watching on television is okay but watching it live is more fun ...

The only consolation that I find is that our cricketers would be safe.

But still... I have missed an opportunity to watch matches and that also when I would be having a good break.

The Delhi DaReDeVils

Finally the IPL season is back... !!
And I was just wondering which team to support in IPL.. ???
We are witnessing these 20-20 matches as the NBAs.. or the county cricket...
Too much of them have already happened in a very short period and yet there is more to come.

Though I am a fan of these 20-20 matches, but being very frank I personally prefer those 50 overs one day matches and the test matches. And the best part of one day matches is that I even prefer watching Ads in a match when India aint winning. ( And in the 8 Hours match you can surely take a nap).
Just kidding !!

finally I decided to cheer up the DareDevils.. for sure they are not devilish !!
And I hope this season they would definitely dare to beat the rest.
Captained by Sehwag, who has really performed fabulously in the series against New Zealand, this team looks pretty strong.
Cool composition of the team. Youngsters would surely rock this IPL..
Gambhir, Tillakaratne, Nehra, Maharoof, Glenn Mcgrath, and Daniel Vettori..Can u imagine the combo??
And I am keeping my fingers crossed for this teams performance. And I hope that they emerge as the winners..!!

Last time I was in favor of Chennai Super kings..but some how being in Delhi makes me go for the home team.

So, which team are you going to be with this season???

Cultivating for future …
Infosys to hire 20000 engineering graduates:

Today I read that Infosys would be hiring 20K engineering graduates this year (2008-09) with an increased pay package of 3.25 lacs per annum; an increase of 8 % than the previous packages offered.

Infy a company known for its ethics, culture and employee friendly environment has yet again proved that even in this downturn what matters most is how you retain people and increase employee’s faith in the company.
From the HR point of view these are the practices for employee retention. Long back I read the case study of “South West airlines”, they also marketed their way out of recession by not retrenching but keeping their employees and by taking suitable measures of cost cutting. They were a huge success and made enormous profits where other airlines were not even close to them.
In this recession the word as suggested by many is to employ, not to retrench.

Infy is employing people Inspite of a lower demand in the software industry; one of the worst hit these days along with finance and real estate.

Well quoted "Proactive companies are preparing and hiring high performers for the future, as they don’t want to run after talent once economy revives in few years"

Good work by one of our own software giants.
We hope to see the same trend from other companies as well.

When job seekers invade social networking sites:

The other day I was reading this article on Mckinsey, “When job seekers invade facebook”.

Truly amazing article and the contents were relevant too.

In the current downturn, many of the corporates are joining the social networking sites to build up contacts in the industry as well as to maintain their social lives.

“The increasing popularity of online social networking is changing not only the way people manage their careers but social networking itself.”

A site like LinkedIn is meant especially for online socialization for jobs was not as famous as it is now.

People are registering in bulk and its users have gone up to more than 35 million.

Can you imagine what a recession can do?

The question in the picture is what will happen to social networking sites if it’s primarily used for business networking and friend requests are sent just for the sake of information regarding jobs and markets.

We will see a different face of Facebook and may be orkuting wouldn’t be that much fun without having some business related purpose! Or may LinkedIn would be one site more famous than Facebook.

The question asked here is the way people want to build social capital on LinkedIn, what will happen to the age old saying “what are friends for?”

I am from bihar ...

When i joined MBA, during the days of orientation the first question that was asked from me was "where are you from?", " Are you a bengali or a South Indian?"

Does it still bother people where one is from ???
Does it bother you if you get to know that i am from Bihar?
We are talking about technology, 21st century, recession etc, but still one thing people cant get over with is where are you from!!
Sometimes even i wonder where am i from??
From this earth or from some other planet ?
I used to answer to them " I am pakka Bihari"
Whats the big deal in it?
I spent my entire life in Jharkhand, before coming to Patna.
My fellow mates and people who know me used to tell me whats the view of Delhites for Biharis, when i was shifting to Delhi.
Well so far i havent encountered any bad behavior may be as i don't look like a bihari or sound like a bihari.
I always get this feedback .. ohh biharis talk like this, they look like that and blah blah...it goes on.
why so much of biasness is still there?
The other day someone asked me that you are not getting well alongwith your colleagues, is it something related to this place and people, do you hate them??
I was amazed at this question ... !!
Why would places take away my peace of mind???
I would say everybody is good and bad, everything depends on the circumstances.
Why people dont come out of this bihari, northie or southie box???
Cant we think like a nation or act like one nation??

Think over it !!

Side effects of doing MBA:

1. You become master of JUGAD TECHNOLOGY

2. You now know that the real job of the manager is to get things done and never do it by himself.

3. You never apply what you have read in the books, you have your own theory.

4. You tend to do all the tasks at the last moment.

5. Once in a job – no one is as busy as you are.

6. You teach everyone that don’t study, MBA me padhai nahi karte!

7. In a good B school you learn all the politics.

8. Even if you don’t like, you have to work in groups. And later you can easily refrain from the group and the members.

9. Compatibility is a big issue

10. Social needs never get fulfilled

11. Once you are there you want all the recognition

12. You can survive on junk food as long as friends are good and less work is there.

13. B fest me cultural program ki jagah conference hote hain

14. Instead of fashion shows you advocate Product Show.

15. Instead of antakshari you witness brand antakshari.

16. Sponsorship ke nam per bhikh mangte raho aur badle me milti hai bas Tarikh pe Tarikh from the companies…ss.

17. ODs ke liye bhi bhikh mango… aur chillao – “Are yar! Meri OD nahi lagi hai. Main debarred ho jaungi.”

18. Marks ke liye sir phodo so that you can sit in the placements.

Everywhere you will find management…..

MBA - Sleepless nights and tiring days …!!

MBA.. !! Sounds good and in fact people proudly pronounce that they are doing MBA.
But this MBA stuff is not that easy……………..
Initially when you join you are into a new world, where SLEEP DEPRIVATION is the first thing to happen.
Sleepless nights and tiring days …!!
Okay so let me begin with:
1. 1st semester:
• You work hard day and night. 9 to 5 classes
• Be formally dressed, else they won’t allow you to attend classes.
• Always assignments on your head.
• Projects... Run after you as ghosts.
• Presentations = jitters, especially if question and answer session is there.
• You are not much aware of the JUGAD technology.
• You see your seniors and wonder who has got more attitude you or they?
• And if you are a responsible student then in a group of 6 where team work is the word, you will end up doing all the work alone. And you might get to hear “ a managers job is to get things done by others “; from your group members.
• Mandatory attendance takes away all the fun.
• Lots of activities going on simultaneously with your classes and you are told. “MBA is not about studies only, its about all round performance.”
• Activities, projects as they end..by that time your externals are on your head…. One Night Stands.
• Question paper – phatte mar diye hain. !!
• In the first sem they make sure that you get least amount of holidays.
• Finally in the first sem they grind you in a mixer for 6 months.

2. 2nd semester:
• By this time you are a master of JUGAD technology.
• For every project you can always ask your seniors as they have already done it.
• For assignments you just need to be there in class and rest you can copy it out from someone who has done it.
• Presentations – kaun sunta hai..Kaun darta hai?? I have to just stand there and speak and I will make sure that my classmates don’t ask questions.
• B Fest and sponsorship – time to have fun.
• Attendance – who the hell cares!!
• Sem end… ohhkay again ONE Night Stands.
• 1st sem results – bloody how do they check papers????
• So by this time you learn MBA is not all about studies, its about having fun.

TO BE CONTD……

Shayari

Aye aashna teri yun yaad to pehle kabhi aayi na thi..

tanhayi thi..per dil pe yu chayi na thi..

mere uthe the kadam, raaho me kahi gehrayi na thi..

wapas kyu laut ke aana hua...??

gham tha, judai na thi !!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

yaadon ka ek kaarwan sath reh gaya hai mere,

yu tere sang sapno ka jahan sajaya tha humne,

suna hai aksar ke laut kar aati nahi jindagi,

yad hai hamein ke tere dar par sans toda tha humne..... !!!!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

tere na aane se mausam kuch to sard sa tha,

tere jane se pehle koi bhi gham na tha,

yeh gila aasma barasta to samajhte tum,

keh nahi paye hum...jo kehna tha

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

kismat ke bahane dekhiye,

dikhaye jo ye najare dekhiye,

katne ko aye raqeeb waqt nahi milta,

baith ke do pal waqt ke ishare dekhiye... !!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

jaise ke sab kehte hain " kash wo hote aur wo sama hota.... dil ka jahan khushnuma hota.. "

dua karo to thodi gujarishe to khuda bhi sunta hai,

kash aap sunte to kya gunaah hota ??? "

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

aaye khusboo hawao se to kehna,

aaye aahat uski to chupke se kehna,

dhadkano se... haan dhadkano se hai bas yahi kehna..

dheere dheere dil ke kareeb laaye use....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do pal thamta nahi aankho ka yeh kajal...

yun ujalo me bhi andhero ka ghuman sa hota hai,

is dhundh me tanhayi ka sama sa hota hai,

...do pal bhi thamta nahi ...........!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

utar kar daaliyo se bich gaye hain raahon me...in patto ki kismat kuch hamari tarah hi hai..

log hamare armaano ko kuchal kar chale jate hain.. hum chah kar bhi fir sapno ko saja nahi pate..

hum chah kar bhi ek aah bhar pate nahi hain !!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

tut ke bikhar jaye to acha ho... tukdo pe adhuri kahani likh du main !!!!

ye puri tasweer ghamo ko kaha jagah deti hai...

in tukdo ko dekhe to shayad yakeen ho jaye tujhe....

ki ye kahani adhuri hai abhi !!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In ehsaso ke samandar me armaano ko mat dhundhna,

beh jane do armaano ko ,

fir in ehsaso me tum dil ka sukun dhundhna.. !!
